Program & Curriculum

Program

Mother Goose School opens at 7:00 AM and closes at 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Our daily program includes pre-literacy, art projects, math, physical education, and social skills. Students participate in music classes two mornings a week in addition to classroom fingerplays and circle time. We prepare and serve a hot, well-balanced lunch each day as well as two nutritious snacks.

Mother Goose School is comprised of five developmental levels ranging from nursery through Kindergarten age. We strive to encourage growth in all developmental areas. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment that fosters learning through play, projects that strengthen motor skills, support social and emotional development, and risk taking through creative art opportunities. Our curriculum is intended to provide a strong foundation for each child in preparation for public or private schools.

Social-emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
